Our commitment to serve ALL units to the fullest in TAC, should remain the top priority. No matter the distance to reach a community and given our low numbers of registered commissioners, a virtual commissioner’s presence could help us improve the number of meaningful ‘unit contacts’ where a commissioner (supports UC recruitment objective #1) is not assigned and or available. A Virtual Commissioner forum is not meant to be a magic wand, and will require follow-up actions and regular (detail and simple) assessments to ensure that a Unit Service Plan is worked and can enable a unit’s journey to excellence goals - this is paramount!
Visit the site and provide your comments by posting them to the site or by emailing TACCommissioner@tac-bsa.org them to make the necessary updates before sharing the site with the rest of council. District commissioners coordinate with your District professionals to ensure that contact rosters are updated.
As District Commissioner, I serve as the quality control officer who recruits, trains and leads a staff of commissioners who coach adult leaders of every unit to succeed. The district commissioner is responsible for the unit service function of the district.
